Bayfront Health St. Petersburg's facilities include features designed eed to make our patients and visitors as comfortable as possible.
Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is a smoke-free campus. This includes inside the hospital buildings and on the campus, which covers the entire area between Fifth and Ninth Street South and Fifth and Ninth Avenue South.
Food and Coffee Shops
Bayside Café is open daily during the following hours:
Breakfast: 6:30 - 10 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Dinner: 4:30 - 7 p.m.
Cold lunches, salads and snacks are available throughout the afternoon hours. Vending machines are located in the cafeteria and outside most visitor waiting rooms.
Coffee, smoothies, snacks, sandwiches and salads are available at St. Pete Smoothies Café located in the West lobby; at Gateway Café located in the Medical Plaza; and Tropical Smoothie Café inside the James Heart Center building, first floor.
The Gift Gallery is located on the first floor near the East Lobby. The shop is open the following days and times:
Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday: 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Sunday: 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Our gift shops are staffed with our wonderful volunteers, so please note that these hours may vary pending their availability.
Wireless Internet Access
Wi-Fi access is available throughout the campus for use by patients and visitors.
Pastoral Care Services
The hospital Chaplain, local clergy and trained volunteer ministers are available to all patients and their families. Please contact your nurse or the chaplain’s office to request these services. The Feaster Chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital.
Information about patients is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling the patient information desk at (727) 893-6101. For the privacy and confidentiality of our patients, we will only provide the room and telephone number if you are a friend or family member and can provide us with the patient’s full name. According to the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the patient must have signed a consent form for us to release any information.
If a consent form has been signed and you are noted as a person who can receive medical information about the patient, brief updates are available daily on the patient’s medical condition. Bayfront follows American Hospital Association guidelines. Patients are listed in one of four general categories: good, fair, serious or critical. Any further information is confidential.
Calling a Patient
You can telephone a patient’s room directly. Dial 893-6 (and the room number) for patients who are admitted to bed A. Dial 553-7 (and the room number) for patients who are admitted to bed B.
