St. Petersburg, FL – (June 24, 2021) – The Deuces Live, Inc., one of St. Petersburg’s most legendary historic Black neighborhoods, is coming to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. This six-month partnership between The Deuces Live, Inc. and Bayfront Health St. Petersburg will launch on National Food Truck Day, Friday, June 25, and then move to Tuesdays and Thursdays thereafter.

The partnership will feature ethnically diverse, minority-owned food trucks associated with The Deuces Live, Inc. Bowlz & Bunz, which specializes in sandwiches and bowls made with fresh local ingredients, will join local barbecue grill master Jimmy Flavors and Flavas WaterIce, creator of frozen desserts and mixed drinks made with fresh fruit, as the first trucks to open their windows for service through this partnership. Going forward, a rotating group of food trucks will introduce themselves to the team members that make up Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. Throughout the six-month partnership, lunch will be served from 11 am – 2 pm and dinner will take place from 5 pm - 8 pm.

The food trucks will offer a variety of Bay area favorites for lunch and dinner to team members, hospital visitors, and residents of the Historic Roser Park neighborhood, where the hospital is located.

“Food is an opportunity to connect communities and create shared experiences.” said Bayfront Health St. Petersburg President John Moore. “We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Deuces Live to further strengthen ties with our community, patients and team members while also supporting local small business owners who are the backbone of our economy.”

The food trucks are part of a pilot program with The Deuces Live, Inc., which works with a preferred group of food truck vendors, about 85 percent of whom are ethnically diverse, minority-owned. Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and The Deuces Live, Inc. are committed to expanding the visibility and customer base of these local, predominantly minority entrepreneurs and their deserving businesses by providing opportunities like this.

“Few things are capable of uniting communities more than food.,” said Quibulah Graham, MSPH, BSN Corporate Director, Diversity and Minority Business Development. “And we’re really excited to bring some of these 22nd Street flavors over to Roser Park for everyone to enjoy.”
