The Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Pharmacy Residency Program is dedicated to the development of clinical pharmacists with the compassionate and professional skills needed to provide the most efficient, high-quality pharmaceutical care, while remaining mindful of the healthcare environment and resources of the community they serve.
The Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Pharmacy Residency Program will build on the education of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) by expanding on the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related patient care covering a wide range of conditions, providing board certification eligibility and offering PGY2 pharmacy residency training.
The Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Pharmacy Residency Program prepares residents to become confident and skilled clinicians who serve as integral members of an interdisciplinary team in direct patient care. Residency Program Specifics
The Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Pharmacy Residency Program offers both longitudinal and 6-week rotations that provide core training experiences as well as focused elective rotations.
The pharmacy team precepts students from multiple colleges of pharmacy. Residents have the opportunity to supervise and mentor these students as well as participate in the University of Florida or University of South Florida teaching certificate programs.
Pharmacy residents are required to present a formal research project at the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting and the Florida Residency Conference (FRC).
